Arnie

Arnie is the sweetest puppy I have ever had in all of my years of rescue.  He came to CRU as a Mastiff/ Weimaraner mix at 1pound at 5 weeks and has come so far.

This sweet boy was having chronic eye issues and was in pain so the vet recommended a double eye removal.  Even this did not dampen our sweet boy’s spirit.  Arnie could never see so having surgery ensured that he would never be in pain from his eyes again.

Puppy Description

He has healed wonderfully and is finally starting to grow. We are not positive how large Arnie will be as he seems to be on his own growth chart. Most likely Arnie will be the size of a lab when full grown.  He is currently around 12 pounds at 3 months.  Arnie has no idea that he is not still one pound and wants only to be cuddled on your lap or chest or right by your side.  He is truly the most loving, gentle soul.

Arnie will require another helpful dog in the house to show him the ropes as he is a bit shy about exploring and could use a helping guide dog.

Arnie is so special and we need the most perfect family that will help Arnie adjust to his new home.  He would benefit from someone who has blind dog experience and has a calm household and a very stable predictable home. Once Arnie learns his space he does great. He would do best in a home with either much older kids or no kids as he can get confused with toys and obstacles in his path.

Arnie will need someone to continue to work with him until he learns his space. He would be happy to be carried around like a baby but we all know that won’t last forever as he grows. 🥰

Arnie is not an apartment pup. He is still scared to do stairs. So if your home has a lot of stairs it may not be a good fit.

This boy deserves the most perfect family ever. If you think that’s you please use the button above to apply. 💙💙

Arnie is in Rochester, NY and you would need to be able to get to Rochester to meet and adopt him.
